GENERAL INFORMATION/MISC. MODELS

Before Rickenbacker released the official M Series, they produced various amps in the 1930s and 1940s. These models include the M-10, M-11, and M-12 that all predated the first M series and feature wood cabinets, the Model 59, which was sold with the Model 59 Hawaiian steel, the 200A Rhythm amp, and a 1948 model that was sold with another Hawaiian model. After the TR series, the R Road series models were introduced in the mid-1980s. These amps are slightly based on the previous TR Series, but they feature the "Road" trademark that was owned by Bob Ross of Kustom fame. Rickenbacker produced their last line of amps in the late 1980s with the RG Series that were once again based on the previous TR and R model designs.
On early models, the number has nothing to do with the wattage of the amp. An "A" suffix usually indicates tremolo. A "D" suffix usually indicates a piggy-back unit.
