Mashall has used numerous vinyls and grille cloths over the years. For Marshall vinyl coverings, black has been the most popular. This has been offered on almost all the models since the beginning. There was a black on green that was used here and there in the late 1960s. In 1967 and 1968, orange, purple, red and blue Levant coverings were all offered in Marshall catalogs. A yellow and a silver were also available but are not known to exist. In 1975, the Levant coverings were changed to the new Elephant covering. Black was still standard on all models. Light brown, dark brown, red, and white Elephant coverings have been used on some models since then. Blue Levant covering was used on the 30th Anniversary Series, and Silver Levant was used on the Silver Jubilee Series. Black is now standard on all Marshall models. Marshall cloths have changed over the years as well. Marshall covering and grille cloth information courtesy Michael Doyle: The History of Marshall.
