The Silver Jubilee (25/50) series was introduced in 1987 to commemorate Jim Marshall's 25 years in amplification and 50 years in music. These amps were based on the 2203 and 2204 Master Volume models, but they did have other changes in the electronics as well. The wattage could be dropped (cut in half) by a switch when less sound was needed. There were three different gain modes as well. These amps were covered in silver vinyl (for the 25th Annniversary), and featured chrome-plated control panels. The Jubilee series was only produced for that year, 1987, and after that the name was changed to the Custom Series for the next year or so. These were discontinued in 1990, around the same time ast the JCM-800 series. The speaker cabinets are included here because they are exclusive to this series only. Essentially they were a 1960 cabinet in silver vinyl. These amps have recently become more collectible because of the added features they have over the JCM-800 series.
