ELECTRIC TUBE AMPLIFIERS: 30TH ANNIVERSARY SERIES

As Marshall had done with the 25/50 Anniversary (Silver Jubilee Series), they released a series of amps for the 30th Anniversary in 1992. This amp was the result of a triple-channel JCM-900 that wasn't ready for release when the Hi-Gain and Hi-Gain Dual Reverb were. They saved it for the 30 year anniversary, and released their most advanced amplifier to date. The first channel was for clean tone and by using a switch the sound could be switched from Marshall sound in the out to Fender sound pushed in. Channel 2 presented three different modes (A, B, & C), that could be used all together. The Lead/JTM 45, a 2203, and a JCM-900 could all be heard through this amp in channel 2. Channel 3 was a whole different animal with distortion like no other. All of these could be used through a footswitch. The power selection was also new. Not only was there a triode/peontode selection switch, but a new power selection switch was added. This allowed the selection between two or four tubes.
The series lasted for the better half of the 90s. For the year 1992, the amp was covered in Blue Levant vinyl, but after that it was changed to standard black like the JCM-900s. This series was discontinued in 1998, around the same time as the JCM-900 series. All of these models are meant for lead applications.

In 1994, Marshall modified the lead channel and changed the model name to the 6100LM.
