ELECTRIC TUBE AMPLIFIERS: 200W SERIES (1967-1974)

This series was introduced after the success of the 100 Watt heads and the increasing power race many amp companies were participating in. By the late 1960s and early 1970s, people were looking for more and more power and liked what many other companies were doing, so Marshall followed suit. These amps were first known as the Marshall 200, but in 1968 the name was changed to the Marshall Major. These models came in a lead, bass, and PA version. The series was discontinued in 1974.
