View Details
- 25W, 1-15 in. JBL speaker, tube chassis, preamp: 5 X 7025, power: 2 X 6L6GC, two channels, tremolo, brownface control panel, four inputs (two normal, two vibrato), nine brown knobs (Norm: v, t, b, Vibrato: v, t, b, s, i, Both: p), brown tolex covering, brown tweed-era grille, mfg. 1959-1963.
Introduced as the Model 5G13. This amp had a reversed control layout at first but went back to the original design shortly thereafter. In 1961, the grille turned to maroon, and in 1962, it turned to wheat. Later models used 2 X 12AX7 tubes in the tremolo circuit rather than the 7025 and 5881 tubes (Model 6G13-A). This amp was a very close relative to the Pro amp with vibrato and a 15 in. JBL speaker.

No, that is not an error in spelling, it is the Vibr-O-sonic. This amp was released nine years after the original Vibrasonic was released, but it is more similar to the Twin, Quad, and Super-Six Reverb amps. It doesn't have a lot to do with the original Vibrasonic. In 1974, a less expensive JBL D-130F was offered for a speaker. In 1976, a distortion switch was added to the master volume knob. In 1979, the JBL speaker was replaced with a 15 in. Electro-voice.
