The Showman is virtually the Twin amplifer in Piggy back version. For the Showman 112/212/115/210 and refer to the Solid State Second series. For the Dual Showman SR that was produced in the late 1980s and early 1990s, refer to the Pro-Tube series.

SHOWMAN (BROWNFACE)

- 85W, 1-12 in. or 1-15 in. JBL speaker in separate cabinet, tube chassis, preamp: 4 X 7025, 2 X 12AX7, power: 4 X 5881, two channels, tremolo, brownface control panel, four inputs, (two normal, two vibrato), nine white or brown knobs (Norm: v, t, b, Vibrato: v, t, b, s, i, Both: p), elaborate porting system, tilt-back legs, cream tolex covering, maroon grille, mfg. 1961-63.
This model was available with a 12 in. or 15 in. speaker. Some early models (6G14) have a 6 X 7025 and 4 X 6L6GC tube configuration. In 1962, the grille was changed to a wheat color. Later models were labeled Model 6G14-A.

Double/Dual Showman (Brownface)

This model was originally called the Double Showman, and in 1963, it was renamed the Dual Showman. However, it is unknown if any brownface amps were called Dual Showmans. Brownface Dual Showmans are extremely rare with approx. 25 total production between 1961 and 1963. This amp is very popular with surf music.

This is the model AA763. In 1963, the bright switch replaced the presence control.

JBL speakers in a separate cabinet, tube chassis, preamp: 3 X 7025, 2 X 12AT7, 12AX7, power: 4 X 6L6GC, two channels, reverb, vibrato, silverface control panel, four inputs, (two normal and two vibrato), 11 silver-top knobs (Norm: bs, v, b, m, t, Vibrato: bs, v, b, m, t, s, i, r), bright switches on each channel, remote footswitches for vibrato and reverb, black tolex covering, silver grille, mfg. 1969-1980.
Model AA768. This model was also sold as the Dual Showman Reverb Bass. In 1972, master volume was added. In 1976, a distortion switch was added. This amp is virtually the Twin in piggy-back form. There has also been a model AC568.
