ELECTRIC SS AMPS: M-80, RAD, HOT, & JAM SERIES

This series was introduced in 1989 and was first produced in early 1990. The most identifying feature about this series was the gray carpet covering on them. Fender hadn´t had any covering other than tolex in over 20 years. The M-80 amps were discontinued by 1995. The RAD/JAM/HOT models were phased out in 1997 and replaced by the Frontman series.

In 1992, the gray carpet was changed to black and other minor cosmetic changes appeared. In 1996, the covering was changed to black tolex.

This model was available with either the carpet or tolex before 1992. In 1992, black covering or tolex replaced the gray carpet and black knobs replaced the red ones.
