ELECTRIC TUBE AMPS: V SERIES (V3, V5, & V7)

When MTI bought Magnavox/Ampeg in 1980, they completely overhauled the entire Ampeg line. They introduced new lines includinge the V Series and all the amps had a cosmetic makeover to black covering with a black grille. MTI released six new tube amps at this time the V3SC, V3HD, V5SC, V5HD, V7SC, and the V7HD. The model description here stood for what each one had in terms of speakers. the SCs were combos and the HDs were head units. The combos had 1-12 in. speaker for the V3SC and 2-12 in. for the V5SC and V7SC. The heads were designed to be used with 4-12 in. V series speaker cabinets.
