ELECTRIC: VENTURES REISSUE MODELS

Semie Moseley produced a limited amount of Ventures reissue models in the late 1980s through the early 1990s. It is estimated that a large percentage of these guitars were shipped to, and remain in Japan.

- bound offset double cutaway alder body, glued-in maple neck, bound rosewood fingerboard, (original-style sand cast) Vibramute vibrato bridge, 3-per-side tuners, chrome hardware, white pickguard, 2 black Alnico single coil pickups, volume/tone controls, 3-position switch, side-mounted jack, available in Black, Sunburst, or White finish, mfg. circa 1987-1990.
The announced reserved serial numbers were # 87001 through # 87150. It is unknown at this date how many models were produced.

Lack of secondary marketplace activity precludes accurate pricing on this model. The 40th Anniversary model celebrated the first Semie Moseley guitar built in 1952 (1952-1992). Research continues on the Ventures 40th Anniversary.

VENTURES 1988 (V-88)

- offset double cutaway basswood body, 3-piece laminated maple neck, zero fret, 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard, "Mosrite/The Ventures Model/1988" logo on headstock, vibrato bridge, chrome hardware, white pickguard, 2 black covered Alnico single coil pickups, volume/tone controls, 3-position switch, available in Banana, Diamondized Ebony Black, Diamondized Money Green, Diamondized Ruby Red, or Sunburst finish, mfg. circa 1988.
This model was built close to the same specs as an early 1964 Ventures model. The next year, the V-89 model debuted, with a list price of $1,998. Research continues on the V-89 model (circa 1989-1990).
