The Mark Series was given humbuckers in place of their usual single coil pickups during production between 1973 to 1975 as the V-II. The V-I Standard, with two single coil pickups, was offered beginning in 1972.

- offset double cutaway solid body, bolt-on maple neck, 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlay, roller bridge/vibrato bridge, 3-per-side tuners, natural finish headstock, white pickguard, chrome hardware, 2 black single coil pickups with exposed pole pieces, 2 volume/1 tone controls, 3-position switch, available in Red or Sunburst finish, mfg. circa 1972-75.
