- offset double cutaway asymmetrical alder or ash body, bolt-on maple neck, 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay (logo block inlay at 12th fret), fixed bridge, four-on-one-side tuners, pearloid pickguard, two J-style ESP pickups, three knobs (v, two tone) mounted on metal plate, chrome hardware, available in 2-Tone Sunburst, 3-Tone Sunburst, Black, Candy Apple Red, Gunmetal Blue, or Pearl White finish, mfg. 1994-2000.
In 1997, Candy Apple Red, Gunmetal Blue, 2-Tone Sunburst finishes were disc; Metallic Gold and Turquoise finishes were introduced. In 1998, See-Through Blue, See-Through Green, See-Through Purple, and See-Through Red finishes were introduced; Metallic Gold and Turquoise finishes were disc.

This model has an optional tortoiseshell pickguard.
