SHERATON (MODEL ENS1)

- double rounded cutaway, arched bound maple top, f-holes, raised bound tortoiseshell pickguard with stylized E logo, maple back/sides, center block maple neck, 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl/abalone block/triangle inlay, tune-o-matic bridge/stop tailpiece, Frequensater, or gold-plated Tremotone bridge/tailpiece, bound peghead with pearl vine/logo inlay, three-per-side tuners, gold hardware, two humbucker covered pickups with exposed screws, four knobs (two v, two tone), three-position switch, available in Cherry, Natural, or Sunburst finish, mfg. 1958-1970, 1978-1983, and 1993-94.
In 1961, mini-humbucker pickups were introduced and a vibrato tailpiece became standard. In 1965, Cherry finish was an option. This model was reissued from 1978-1983 and produced in Japan/Korea. It was reintroduced again in 1993-94 as a limited edition of 250 instruments produced from the Nashville factory, and featured Frequensator tailpieces (unlike any other Sheraton model).

SHERATON II REISSUE (MODEL ETS2)

- contemporary re-issue of the Sheraton, laminated maple top, back, and sides, two f-holes, set three-piece maple neck, 20-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl block and triangle inlays, bound floral headstock design with three-per-side tuners, tune-o-matic bridge, stop tailpiece, raised tortoise pickguard with E logo, two covered humbucker pickups, four knobs (two v, two tone), three-way switch, gold hardware, available in Cherry (1997 only), Ebony, Natural, Pearl White (disc. 2000), or Vintage Sunburst finish, 25.5 in. scale, mfg. mid-1980s-present.
Early models have an "Epiphone by Gibson" headstock logo. The Sheraton II Reissue was simply referred to as the Sheraton Reissue until the mid-1990s, but the Epiphone's product code for this model has always been ETS2.
