HOWARD ROBERTS STANDARD

- single sharp cutaway hollow style, arched spruce top, bound oval soundhole/body, mahogany back/sides/neck, 20-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl slotted block inlay, adjustable rosewood bridge/trapeze tailpiece, blackface peghead with pearl cloud/logo inlay, three-per-side tuners, nickel tuners, mini humbucker pickup, volume/tone control, available in Cherry finish, mfg. 1964-1970.
This instrument was co-designed by Howard Roberts. In 1965, 3-stripe purfling was introduced, Natural and Sunburst finishes became optional. In 1967, tune-o-matic/rosewood base bridge replaced original part/design. In 1968, Natural and Sunburst finishes became standard, Cherry finish was disc.
