- offset double cutaway poplar body, through-body maple neck, 24-fret ebony fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, fixed bridge, graphite nut, four-on-one-side locking Sperzel tuners, chrome hardware, two J-style H50N passive pickups, three controls (two v, tone), mfg. 1991-present.
In 1996, alder body replaced poplar body. This model has an optional fretless fingerboard (LB20F). This model is currently only available on Carvin's website.

In 2007, new active/passive 18V electronics were introduced. This model has an optional fretless fingerboard (LB75F). Before 1992, five-on-one-side tuners were used.
