The Taylor Presentation Series guitar models each feature a solid Engelmann spruce top, scalloped X-bracing (tapered on the PS 55), ivoroid body binding with abalone edging, solid Hawaiian koa back and sides, abalone soundhole rosette, mahogany neck, 25.5 in. scale, 20-fret ebony fingerboard with "Byzantine" fretboard inlays, ebony bridge, ebony peghead veneer, Tusq nut and saddle, and gold Schaller tuners with ebony buttons.
Between 2007 and 2010, Taylor stopped producing standard Presentation models and shifted the line over to an entire custom process. Models started at $7,498 for six-strings and $7,698 for 12-strings, and are available in dreadnought, grand auditorium, grand concert, grand symphony, and jumbo body sizes. Cocobolo, maple, and walnut body woods are standard with Hawaiian koa, Macassar ebony, and Madagascar rosewood available for an extra $2,500, and Brazilian rosewood for an extra $4,000. Sitka spruce, Western red cedar, and Englemann Spruce tops are standard with Sinker redwood, Adirondack spruce, walnut, and Hawaiian koa are available for an extra $500.
In 2011, Taylor reintroduced their standard production Presentation Series with cocobolo back, sides, and backstrap, an ebony armrest and binding, green heart abalone purfling, and new fingerboard and headstock inlays. New Presentation models include the PS10E (Last MSR $9,118), PS10CE (Last MSR $9,318), PS12CE (MAP $9,999), PS12CE 12-Fret (MAP $9,999), PS14CE (MAP $9,999), PS15CE (2011 only, last MSR was $7,998), PS16CE (Last MSR $9,318), PS18E (Last MSR $9,058), PS54CE (2011 only, last MSR was $8,198), PS55CE (2011 only, last MSR was $8,198), and the PS56CE (Last MSR $9,458).
