ACOUSTIC: GAD (WESTERLY) SERIES

GAD stands for the Guild Acoustic Design series. Most guitars in this series are based on traditional designs including many Guild originals, and they are all built in China. In mid-2011, an all-new GAD line of acoustics was introduced replacing the "GAD" models with "D-, F-, and M-" models.

In mid-2015, the Westerly Collection was announced which replaced all previous "D-, F-, and M-" models. The Westerly Collection pays homage to Guild's Westerly, Rhode Island Era instruments of the 1960s-1990s. All Westerly models feature all solid woods, a 1.75 in. nut width (1.875 on 12-string models), Chesterfield headstock emblem, tortoiseshell pickguard, and polyfoam case.
