ACOUSTIC: PRESENTATION (PR/DR) SERIES

The Presentation Series was introduced in the mid-1970s and has been a cornerstone in Epiphone's acoustic line up ever since. In 2004, Epiphone changed the model prefixes from "PR" to "DR". While the prefix changed and in some cases a different number was assigned, there was no change to the actual model. Since Korean production halted in 2004, Epiphone probably used the new model designations to distinguish origin of manufacture on the guitar.

- single sharp cutaway folk style, figured maple top, round soundhole, multi-bound body/rosette, mahogany back/sides/neck, 20-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl diamond slot inlay, rosewood bridge with white black dot pins, blackface peghead with pearl crown/logo inlay, three-per-side gold tuners, piezo bridge pickup, four-band EQ, available in Ebony, Natural, or Vintage Sunburst finish, mfg. 1992-present.

PR-6 E (MODEL EEP6)

- single rounded solid mahogany body, solid spruce top, mahogany neck, RW fingerboard with split diamond inlay, binding, Shadow Classic P-4 preamp (2003-06), available in Natural, Heritage Cherry Sunburst, Trans. Amber, Trans. Red, Trans. Blue, Trans. Black, or Tobacco Sunburst finish, disc. 1998, reintroduced 2003-06.

This model was also available with rosewood back/sides (PR-6ER, Last MSR $749).

DR-100 (PR-100, MODEL EA10)

- dreadnought style, spruce top, round soundhole, black pickguard, stripe rosette, mahogany back/sides/neck, 14/20-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlay, rosewood bridge with black pins, three-per-side chrome tuners, available in Ebony, Natural Gloss, Wine Red (disc.), or Vintage Sunburst finish, mfg. 1997-present.

Also available with an ash top at no additional charge (Model PR-100A). Also was available in a single cutaway design for an additional $50 (Model PR-100C). Wine Red added in 2002.

This is part of Epiphone's Special Run Series and is only available through select retailers.
