- single cutaway alder body, bolt-on modified C-shaped maple neck, 22-fret maple (1202/1262) or rosewood (1200/1260) fingerboard with dot inlay, vintage three saddle bridge, white pickguard, two standard vintage Tele single coil pickups, two knobs (v, tone) and a three-way switch mounted on a metal plate, chrome hardware, available in 3-Color Sunburst, Crimson Red Trans. (2003-06), Daphne Blue Trans. (2002-07), Flat Black/Black (2006-2011), Honey Blonde Trans. (2003-09), or Wine Trans./Midnight Wine (2006-09) finish, 25.5 in. scale, mfg. 2003-2011.
In summer 2006, the Highway 1 Telecaster was completely overhauled with new pickups that feature a high-gain distortion-friendly sound, the Greasebucket tone circuit on the bridge pickup, larger frets, a high-mass bridge, narrower bridge saddles, new colors, and vintage '70s styling (headstock decal).
