This model was originally produced in Japan. In 1989, production of this model moved to U.S., but some models some models were still produced until 1990 in Japan. In 1992, this model was redesigned.

- offset double cutaway basswood body, bolt-on maple neck, 24-fret maple or rosewood fingerboard with black dot inlays, black face headstock with "STRAT" logo, double locking Kahler vibrato, four pickup configurations (one humbucker, two DiMarzio humbuckers [010-2300], one Silver Lace Sensor single coil and one DiMarzio humbucker [010-2200], two standard single coil and one DiMarzio humbuckers [010-2100, 2102], and one Blue single coil, one Gold single coil, and one Red humbucker Lace Sensors [010-2000]), pickup selector switch, various knobs/switches, black hardware, available in Black, Blue, Red, or White finish, 25.1 in. scale, mfg. 1988-1992.
