Jazz Bass: Custom Shop

Relic series instruments were cosmetically aged by the Fender Custom Shop. Instruments are stamped on the headstock and into the body (under the pickguard) with the Custom Shop logo to avoid future cases of "mistaken identity" in the Vintage Guitar market.
2006 Limited Edition Jazz Bass Models: The LTD 1970 Jazz Bass Closet Classic has Natural finish (100 basses, $5,000).
2007 Limited Edition Jazz Bass Models: The LTD 1970 Jazz Bass Closet Classic has Natural finish (100 basses, $5,000, carryover from 2006).
2009 Limited Collection Models: The 1964 Jazz Bass NOS in Black finish with a white pickguard (total production of 30 instruments, MSR $3,460), and the 1964 Jazz Bass Relic in Black finish with a white pickguard (total production of 30 instruments, MSR $3,960).
