Tonemaster was a brand Magnatone used on a line of accordion amplifiers during the late 1950s and the early 1960s for the Imperial Accordion Company in Chicago, IL. Magnatone (Estey) built these amps, which were almost all clones of Magnatones, and put a Tonemaster logo on the front instead of Magnatone. Essentially all Tonemaster models should have a corresponding model with Magnatone. Although Tonemaster amps were specifically produced for Imperial Accordions, the amps could also be used for guitars. Known models include the Custom 62, Custom 261, Custom 381, and Model 214. Any further information on Tonemaster amps can be submitted directly to Blue Book Publications.
