Bob Swanson founded Swanpro amplifiers because he wanted to develop his own sound. He had grown up in the 1970s listening to rock n' roll and all the amplifiers that were associated with it. Rack units took over in the 1980s, but Bob was back to tube amps by the early 1990s; however, they didn't sound as good as he had remembered. He started to tinker with old amps and after hundreds of amps in experience, he started his own company in 2004. The Swanpro Recording Club Series are designed to be used in the recording studio with a mic in front of them. The RCS 20 and RCS40 were the last amps available on the market.
