Sonic Cord produced their first amp, the Bantam, in 1998 that attracted several musicians in the Boston area and soon Sonic Cord was fixing up studios and the like with their products. In 2000, Sonic Cord helped put the stage together for the Museum of Fine Arts in a piece called "Dangerous Curves: Art of the Guitar." In 2002, they became public and started selling more models of amps, and they attended their first NAMM show in 2003. Sonic Cord stopped producing amplifiers in the mid-2000s.
