MULTIVOX

The Multivox company was started in the late 1940s by Peter Sorkin Music to manufacture amplifiers as a subsidary to the company. The company produced amplifiers for many years until around 1984. They also produced some guitars and other products under the same name. A lot of products were produced in the same factory Multivox was in, just under different names, specifically Strad-O-Lin and Premier. The Multivox company produced many patents as far as amplifiers, which included the "Organ-Tone Tremolo" circuit. In the 1960s Multivox broke away from the Sorkin company and in 1970 when Sorkin closed down, Multivox kept going.
