Mountain produced a line of portable 9V battery AC/DC operated amplifiers. These were small combo models with a single volume control, 6.5 in. speaker, and dimensions of 8.5 in. wide, 9.25 in. tall, and 5 in. deep. The cabinets were available in various color coverings including Ferrari Red, Creme, Lake Placid Blue, Desert Zolotone, and hand-crafted wood cabinets in Ribbon Mahogany, Pine, solid Bolivian Rosewood, Figured Walnut, Green Flame maple, Red Trans. Flame maple, and Bolivian rosewood with a maple front. The grille covering features a large MTN metal logo spanning the circle opening. These amps were designed for electric guitar use, but they also become increasingly popular for acoustic guitarists and harmonicas. Mountain's last model, a figured maple cabinet amp was last offered for $199.
