Bruce Collins founded Mission Amps in 1996. Not only do they produce their line of Aurora amps, but they are a repair shop with a full repair department, and they stock a wide variety of parts for tube amplifiers. They also produce tweed amp kits that the user puts together. The Aurora line of amps has a reminiscent look of mid-1950s Gibson GA-style amps but don't be fooled by that. They are tweaked like a high gain, vintage AC50 combined with a tweed Bassman and a little Plexi thrown in on top of that. All chassis come with a non-gain, signal-boosting foot switch and are available in reverb or non-reverb versions with or without an extra gain stage.
