Dave Zimmerman began building amps after he listened to Neil Young play the Fender Deluxe that had been modified. Dave noticed how the power supply was not producing enough power to drive the power tubes. He then developed and patented the Sag Circuit that allows players to adjust the amount of voltage the amp gets from the power supply, as well as the number of watts the amp is actually producing. This allows the amp to produce the distorted sound many players crave when an amp is run wide open at any volume. The Sag Control featured on all Maven Peal amps also includes a built-in power conditioner and line regulator. For more information visit Maven Peal's website or contact them directly.
