Lloyd Baggs started out refinishing and refurbishing old Gibson and Washburn guitars in the early 1970s. In 1975, Baggs started the L.R. Baggs company to produce acoustic guitar pickups and electronics. The LB6 Series pickup was Baggs' first product that was also patented along with four other products. Today several large manufacturers including Gibson, Tacoma, Breedlove, and Larrivee use L.R. Baggs products in their instruments. In 2007, L.R. Baggs introduced their first stand alone guitar amplifier called the Core 1, which was later renamed the Acoustic Reference Amplifier. This amp was built after three years of research and has many unique features not found in any other product. For more information, visit L.R. Baggs' website or contact them directly.
Amplifiers currently produced in China since 2007. L.R. Baggs has been producing acoustic preamps, pickups, and other related accessories since 1975. Distributed by L.R. Baggs in Nipomo, CA.
