Holger Notzel and Michael Kennedy opened Riverfront Music in 1998 as an amp repair facility. Shortly thereafter, with Ken Fischer of Trainwreck notoriety, they founded Komet Amplification. Their first model, the Komet amp, is based on Trainwreck amps, but it is an entirely new chassis designed by Ken Fischer. Like Trainwreck, Komet amps are a simple design with a single channel, no reverb, no master volume, no effects loop, no footswitches, no transistors, and no chips. The chassis is built of solid aluminum, no printed circuits are used, and the cabinet is covered in a tolex fabric. For more information, visit Komet's website or contact the company or distributor directly.
