JMI (Jennings Musical Instruments) was created to revive the amplifiers based on Tom Jennings popular Vox designs of the early 1960s. Tom Jennings built the original AC Vox amps in the late 1950s and early 1960s, and JMI amplifiers are built to the original specifications of the early Vox designs. JMI amps also feature Vox-style black or fawn brown covering with the only cosmetic difference being the logo which reads "JMI" in the same "VOX" lettering. JMI recently began recreating various effects pedals that they produce in limited quantities, including the famous Rangemaster Treble Booster.
