Goodtone was started in 2004 in Pasadena, Maryland. After several all tube protoyptes, the first custom amp was built for Danny Morris of the Danny Morris Band. In 2006, two standard models were offered, the Elmira (single channel reverb) and the Tandem (dual channel high gain) combos. In 2007, a head version of the Tandem model was offered, and in 2008, a custom designed model available as a head or combo was offered through Jim's Guitar's of Baltimore under their "Screaming Man" label. In 2010, a custom model "Twang-o-Verb" was built for Andy Rutherford of Ruthie and The Wranglers. A new model "Toneslinger" with a clean channel and high gain channel with variable tube/solid state drive will be available in 2011.
