GERLITZ

Harvey Gerlitz started building custom cabinets for other manufacturers including Matchless for their Exotic cabinets. The Gerlitz amplifier company was founded to create one specific design by combining two other products into one. The G1 "Revelator" Dual Amp has the sounds of a Marshall Plexi unit and a Fender Blackface all in one amp. The Blackface is based around a Deluxe Super Reverb (mid-1960s) and the Marshall Plexi around a 50 Watt Lead (late 1960s). The Revelator is available as a head-unit or combo and speaker cabinets are also available. Gerlitz is no longer building amplifiers as of circa 2007.
