Fuchs Audio Technology was founded in 1999 by Andy Fuchs. Fuchs started repairing and modifying amplifiers in the NYC area in the late 1970s. He worked for a number of amp manufacturers including Plush, Earth Sound Research, and New York Audio Labs, and he began building amps under the Fuchs brand in 1999. The original Overdrive Supreme influenced by the legendary Overdrive Special by Dumble has been in continuous production since 1999. Fuchs Audio Technology now produces a full line of amplifiers from 7 to 150 watts and from one to three channels. All models are now CE certified and RoHs for export. Fuchs also owns and manufactures effects pedals under the PLUSH brand name. A partial list of Fuchs endorsers includes Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Al Di Meola, Paul Jackson Jr, Jeff Golub, Dweezil Zappa, Joe Bonamassa, Jake Cinninger, Shane Gibson (Korn), Vic Juris, and Matt O'Ree.
