Steven Fryette, who founded VHT Amplification in 1989, sold the trademark to The Music Link in 2009, but continues to build his amplifiers under the Fryette brand. The Music Link is now building their own models under the VHT brand while Fryette kept all of the model designs and moved them to the Fryette line.
