Elk amplifiers were built by Elk Gakki in Japan during the 1960s. Not much history is known about Elk, but their designs are based very closely on Fender Bassman and early Marshall models of the 1960s. Like many copied amplifiers produced in the 1960s, these models seem to have a weak spot in the output transformer. Any additional information can be submitted directly to Blue Book Publications.
