DM "Smitty" Smith founded Bluetron in 2004 to improve on Fender's vintage amps from the 1960s. Smith knows that the Blackface Fender amps from the '60s are great amps, but when pushed hard, they left something to desire. After extensive research and experimentation, Smith found that great distortion is created when the gain is controlled at each stage. The Blueverb is Bluetron's only amp as well as the world's first amp to control the drive at every gain stage.
