Violinist John Berry and electronics guru Les Barcus founded Barcus Berry in 1963 with the first piezo-crystal transducer for musical instruments. This revolutionary design led to many other feats and firsts by the company such as the electric violin, piezo transducers for guitars, pianos, and harps, and the first under-saddle piezo pickup. In the late 1970s, Barcus-Berry introduced a line of guitar amplifiers. They currently produce a line of pickups, electronics, and accessories.
Amplifiers previously produced in the late 1970s. Pickups and other electronics currently produced since 1963. Distributed by Musicorp, Inc. in Louisville, KY.
