Gary Lee founded BackLine Engineering in 2004 and they offer tube guitar amp heads, guitar effects, and a guitar amp app for the iPhone. BackLine's Zentone 7 (MSR $995) is a programmable 7 watt guitar amp head that can utilize a variety of pre-amp and power tubes and it can be used with a regular speaker cab via standard 1/4 inch speaker jacks, in the studio with the balanced XLR direct out, and as a pre-amp for use with an external power amp.
