ZAPP

Not much is known about Zapp, the amplifier company. They produced amplifiers during the 1970s, when small practice amplifiers were beginning to take off. A couple small solid-state models exist, but information is scarce on them. These amps had solid-state chassis and typically had 6 in. or 8 in. speakers. The cabinets were made out of particle board and the controls featured one tone and one volume knob. The best part of these amplifiers is that they were made in the U.S.A. They were developed by Bob Archigian and were available through Red Tree Music in Mamaranic, NY. There was a total of 250 produced. It is possible that some other variations may be out there, but for the most part all of these amps are the small practice type. However, there appears to be increasing interest in these amps.
