Elpico amplifiers were originally produced by the Lee Products Company. In the late 1960s, Lee became Elizabethan Electronics, and by 1970 they had stopped producing amplifiers. Elpico built radios, record players, and small amplifiers that were meant to amplify tape decks, etc. However, many Elpico models were used by guitar players (as there is not that much difference in early guitar amps). They also gained a bit of popularity due to Paul McCartney and Dave Davis of the Kinks using them occasionally. Information courtesy: Tim Fletcher and Steve Russell.
Amplifiers previously produced in London, England between the early 1950s and the late 1960s.
