Behringer was founded by Uli Behringer in 1989, but Uli actually built his first synthesizer in 1978. The Germany-based company's first product was the Studio Exciter D. Throughout the early and mid-1990s, Behringer continued to introduce new audio products from synthesizers to mixers. In 1998, Behringer introduced guitar and bass amplifiers. In 2001, they introduced the V-AMP guitar digital modeler (similar to the Line-6 POD). In 2003, they introduced guitars and guitar/amp combo packs were also available.
Behringer currently produces a wide range of analog and digital guitar modeling amplifiers, as well as solid-state amps, tube amps, acoustic amps, and bass amps. They also offer speaker cabinets, microphones, stomp boxes (effects), and a variety of audio accessories and electronics. For more information, visit Behringer's website or contact them directly.
Amplifiers, speaker cabinets, and other audio electronics currently produced in Germany and in Asia, since 1989. Distributed by Behringer USA, Inc. in Bothell, WA.
