Wurlitzer, who produce a variety of electric products including jukeboxes, organs, and pianos, offered a line of guitars during two different eras. Wurlitzer first sold a line of acoustic guitars built by Martin in the mid-1920s (for information on the acoustic instruments, refer to the Blue Book of Acoustic Guitars). In 1965, they began offering a line of electric guitars built by the Holman-Woodell facility in Neodesha, KS who also built instruments for other trademarks including 21st Century, Alray, Holman, and La Baye. Electric guitar production continued in Kansas until circa 1968, when Wurlitzer decided to begin importing foreign-built guitars as production costs began to rise in the U.S. Wurlitzer began importing guitars built by the Welson company from Italy, and production continued through the late 1960s and early 1970s. In the 2000s, Eastwood Guitars reissued the Gemini.
