Luthier Michael Spalt produces high quality guitars and basses that feature odd designs and graphics. He builds these instruments by combining his interests in fine art and guitars. Spalt builds or has built several instruments under other trademarks including Spalt, TTR, Totemguitars, Totem-X, S&S Guitars, Hybrid, and the vViper Bass. Spalt also offers the innovative Wiper pickup. This is a pickup that can be "swept" back and forth like a windshield wiper on the body to get an infinite number of sounds by having the pickup situated differently.
