SIERRA (U.S. MFG.)
Sierra Guitars was a well-conceived but short-lived company that handcrafted the Excaliber line of guitars and basses. Founded in 1981 by Michael Tobias and Ron Armstrong, the San Francisco-based company lasted only one year and produced 50 instruments, (Model specifications and company history source: Hal Hammer).

- offset double cutaway body with slightly elongated bass bout, 2-per-side headstock, 2 octave fretted neck, one pickup, volume/tone controls, available in Natural finish, mfg. 1981 only.
SIERRA (U.S. MFG.) Model 6.1 A
- similar to the 6.1, except had active electronics and mini toggle switch.
