RUOKANGAS
Master Luthier Juha Ruokangas and his team build custom electric solidbody and semi-hollow guitars and basses in their Finland shop. After ten years of learning and research, Juha Ruokangas opened Ruokangas Guitars in 1995. Ruokangas has become known for his Unicorn, Duke, Mojo, Vsop, and Hellcat lines of original design electric guitars. The latest addition to the model selection is the Steambass - the first electric bass Ruokangas offers.
Ruokangas Guitars has exhibited at Frankfurt Musikmesse since 2000, and at the NAMM Show since 2005. Ruokangas also exhibits at the Montreal Guitar Show regularly. Juha Ruokangas participates actively to develop the boutique guitar scene in Europe on a larger scale via his role as the vice president of The European Guitar Builders (EGB) association. Instruments currently hand-built in Harviala, Finland. Previously made in Hyvinkaa, Finland. Ruokangas Guitars was founded in 1995. Distributed in the U.S. by a few selected dealers.
