Luthier/designer Ed Roman built several different custom guitars and basses in his Las Vegas shop. Besides building instruments, he also owned and ran one of the largest and most comprehensive guitar stores in the world. Before starting his own custom guitar company in 1998, Roman built guitars under the name Roman & Lipman with his partner Barry Lipman. Previously, Roman built several different brands under the Roman moniker. These brands include Abstract, Centurion, LSR, Pearlcaster, Quicksilver, and Scorpion. Each guitar line had a special niche in the market, and every guitar was available with custom options. Besides running the guitar shop and store, Roman also had one of the most comprehensive websites on guitars. Instead of trying to include all (or even a small part of Roman's guitars), please refer to the Roman website for a complete listing of models. Roman died December 14, 2011 at the age of 61.
Instruments previously built in Las Vegas, NV 2002-2011. Previously located in Danbury, CT until circa 2002.
