Ray Ramirez is currently producing the Travel Series, Compact Series, and Composite Series Fiberglass basses. These instruments have a fiberglass body and wood neck with ebony fingerboard and high quality strings. Also, the Caribbean Series Electric Upright Bass is produced completely in wood. The instrument is a modern version of the Ampeg Baby Bass. The electronics for all their instruments include a diaphragm pickup for a deep punch and clear sound suitable for Jazz, as well as Latin music also active electronics with Piezo pickups are available as upgrades.
