NS DESIGN

Designer Ned Steinberger founded NS Design in 1990, as a means to independently develop new and innovative stringed instrument designs. Ned founded Steinberger Sound in the 1970s and sold the company to Gibson in 1986. By 1990, Gibson was in full control of the company with Steinberger as a consultant. NS Design focuses on building electric violins, cellos, violas, Omni Basses, and electric upright basses. NS Design is also producing a new electric bass guitar, available in 2013.
