Neo custom guitars and basses feature a body of tough, clear acrylic and a Neon tube (plus power supply) that lights up as the instrument is played. The Neo guitars were developed to provide extra visual effects that neon lighting can provide to a musician in the course of a performance. The Basic model had a retail price of $1,995, and featured a 22-fret ebony fingerboard, and two EMG humbuckers with active preamp. Additionally, the company had expanded its line to include the Spitfire electric violin.
